Today, we celebrate the legacy black men and women have led in our country. We recognize the countless contributions black people have made for our society, from different fields of science and politics to being mass contributors to music and art.
Black history month is a great time to educate ourselves on the rich history of black people. Learning about their evident struggles faced in the past and still in the present day is critical. It is a time to reflect on our brothers and sisters like Breonna Taylor, George Floyd, and many more lost. Yet, a time to celebrate the contributions of freedom fighters of black people like Martin Lurther King Jr., Harriet Tubman, Rosa Parks, and so many more.
In celebration, we have a list of resources to learn more about the history of fellow black men and women.
Take the time to understand and celebrate our brothers and sisters! Happy Black History Month!
